Homework: Leadership Assessment Paper
An important note about references:
I. Your references must be original, meaning, you can't use the references in listed in the Northouse book or listed within a peer reviewed article.
II. Use articles published during the last 10 years (2010- 2020). If you find an article older than 10 years that adds value to the history of the subject you can use it in addition to your other sources, not in replace of a more recent source.
III. Your articles must be peer reviewed and be retrieved from Welder Library or Google Scholar. Make sure the articles you select have a qualitative or quantitative study (example: survey, focus group, etc.). You want to focus on using information from the findings and discussion sections to support your work.
IV. Step one: Read chapters 7, 8, and 9 in the Northouse text. Choose two assessments to complete from the list below.
i. Leader Member Exchange Theory (LMX)
ii. Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) Form 5X- Short
iii. Authentic Leadership
Objectives:
Write a minimum of 3 pages/maximum of 5 pages (introduction through conclusion) addressing the following:
i. Explain the leadership styles that you selected for your assessments.
ii. Briefly compare and contrast the leadership styles you selected.
iii. LMX Questionnaire: Complete the questionnaire as both the leader and the follower. What range were you in and how do you interrupt your results?
iv. Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) Form 5X- Short: Explain your beliefs/perceptions about transformational, transactional, and nontransactional leadership.
v. Authentic Leadership Self-Assessment Questionnaire: Describe your results. Provide an overview of your scores for self-awareness, internalized moral perspective, balanced processing, and relational transparency.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
