Discussion Post: Supply Chains
Explain the importance of supply chain management to the inventory management of the healthcare organization as well as inventory control systems. One new technology being used for supply chain management is the blockchain. Use the Saudi Digital Library to conduct research on this new method of supply chain management. Given the current processes and choices explain how Saudi healthcare companies can maximize their supply chain to achieve the utmost efficiency. Be sure to include a discussion of the current technology used to track purchases within the supply chain. Additionally, explore the various types of inventory control (e.g., RFID, FIFO, etc.) within the hospital systems of Saudi Arabia. Explain why the supply chain management affects the revenue cycle.
