• Explain the hardball techniques discussed in this portion of the book. Give examples of these techniques (either from the book, from you personal experiences, or from other politicians).
• In his book, Matthews illustrates that "hardball" is a game of manipulation. Do you think you will be able to recognize these manipulative techniques in the future?
