Explain the difference between intensity and magnitude

In the previous activity, you were provided with resources to help you learned about human factors and the role of the AMT, in both domestic and international aviation. Now, use this discussion forum to share what you have learned from your research by creating a discussion post.

You must use a minimum of 150 w and use proper grammar and spelling.

Comment on two posts of other students. Your reply must contain at least 50 w and use proper grammar and spelling.

I have attached the previous activity that was done by you and below are the 2 posts of other students

1. Human Factors and the role of the AMT

There is a couple of things that I have learned about human factors and the role of the AMT. I have learned that a human factor is a much broader subject than I previously thought. At first, I thought the idea was as simple as the mistake that the human made that caused the mishap. Now I have a better understanding that it goes much deeper than that. Human factors break down the idea to be even more specific in order to get down to the root cause of an aviation mishap investigation in hopes of preventing a future incident...I.E. psychological, physical, resources, climate, and etcetera. The role of the AMT is one that is steadfast. We are to uphold high maintenance standards that should never be waivered for any reason. Not only do pilots have to trust us with what we do, but passengers and passenger's families do s well.

2. As we talk about AMT's and human factors, a lot comes to mind. Some things I learned about were mainly from the acronym PEAR. I have gone through so much training as a technician and this was the first time I ever heard of this acronym. The pillars of aviation and all of the safety factors that are directly related to human factors are deeply rooted in aviation safety. Every company either it be manufacturing, overhaul and repair, bench work or line maintenance. There will always be human factors involved wither it be physical, mental, fatigue, weather or faulty parts the pressure will always be there. Time deadlines such as Turnaround times (TAT), Value Stream Management (VSM), low inventory these are all stressors that can affect how a company and its employees work and coincide with each other. Instead for adding pressure try taking some away, take the time to find the proper resources or parts to complet a job. Do not take short cuts and follow proper procedures to get jobs done. A lot of people count on technicians to do their jobs properly not only aircrews but unknowing passengers also have to put their trust into someone they have never met.
