Assignment Directions:
Write a letter to Mrs. Fussbudget. She is the mother of little Tommy. When Tommy comes home from preschool and she asks him what he did today all he says is "I Played". Mrs. Fussbudget is worried that Tommy is not "learning" in school and he will not be ready for Kindergarten.
In the letter explain the developmental advantages to play and why it is important. You must include at least one thing a child is learning through play for each of the developmental areas (physical, cognitive, social-emotional) and how it is preparing him for school in the future.
