Pointers for the Oral Presentation
1) Every needs to contribute
2) About 20 minutes for each group
3) Present a Power point slide deck
a. You can use Powerpoint but what may be good is to use Google Slides, because it'll be easier to work on collectively, your call.
4) The Oral Presentation needs to follow this broad structure
a. Introduce Your Business
b. Explain the core Process Flow of your business
c. Explain 3 primary KPI's that an Operations Manager would need to manage and monitor to run the business (and sales is not one of them). These three KPI's should be metrics related to your primary objectives of the business. If it is growth, maybe a KPI is the number of new customers for the week. If it is efficiency, maybe it's the length of time it takes to perform your service.
d. The Curveball - I have provided you all with a scenario or new focus relating to your business. Explain how you will address that and speak on it.
e. **Note: 4 sections for 20 minutes - 5 minutes dedicated to each section seems reasonable.
5) Be prepared for Q&A afterwards for a few minutes.
6) Animation is a plus, but not required. It does need to look good though, make use of slide deck templates to design it well.
7) DO NOT JUST READ THE SLIDES.
a. The slides should be talking points, not a script.
8) Have fun! Be creative and don't be boring!
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
