Master data is a set of core data elements with their associated hierarchies, attributes, properties, and dimensions. For example, customer, product, legal entity, chart of accounts, employee, vendor, etc. that span the enterprise IT systems and drive the business. It is not transaction data. Material master is used in different processes. Material master data is used in an ERP system.
What data in the material master are relevant to the purchasing process? Why?
