Explain right to liberty or personal freedom

Discuss the below:

"Do people have a right to do whatever they want? If not, in what sense can people have a right to liberty or personal freedom?"

This enduring debate, rhetoric and dialog continues to be pervasive in politicsm and social institutions. When is too much regulation government regulation become intrusion? Many politicians, elective officials, and business lobbies push for less government intervention and "freer enterprise," but when does this ideology cease to make sense? When does "free enterprise" cease to be free? When do boundaries and limits, such as laws, regulations, and even social mores (moral guidelines for accepted behavior) need to be in place to ensure social stability? What have you read thus far in "The Price of Justice" that would indicate, toward one side or the other, that there needs to be more or less government oversight of industrial operations. Be specific.
