The purpose of this assignment is to have a real-life proxy encounter with the complexity of Medicare.
Identify and interview an individual (or couple) Medicare beneficiary. You may not interview a beneficiary jointly with a classmate nor interview a beneficiary already interviewed by another classmate. The core questions for the interview are given below. Additional questions may be asked at each student's discretion. The Medicare beneficiary's identity is to be kept anonymous, but the student will record the beneficiary's responses. The student will write a 200-word "reaction" to the responses. The entire Medicare interview paper should be two pages (this includes the summary as well as the reaction paragraph). Points will be awarded based on the quality of the summary of responses and reaction paragraph.
