There are government performance measures, quality performance measures, efficiency performance measures that all have a bearing on the finances indirectly.
In your role as a healthcare manager you will be asked in your professional career to apply your knowledge of the performance measures in relation to the finances to produce proposals, justifications and other documents - this should be a document that would feel comfortable submitting to your boss.
