Explain rate of electrical energy dissipation in the cable

Discuss the below in detail:

Q: A long 1-cm-diameter electric copper cable is embedded in the center of a 25 cm square concrete block. If the outside temperature of the concrete is 25°C and the rate of electrical energy dissipation in the cable is 150 W per meter length, determine the temperatures at the outer surface and at the center of the cable.

GIVEN

A long electric copper cable embedded in the center of a square concrete block

Diameter of the pipe (Dp) = 1 cm = 0.01 m

Length of a side of the block = 25 cm = 0.25 m

The outside temperature of the concrete (To) = 25°C

The rate of electrical energy dissipation (Qi??G /L ) = 150 W/m

ASSUMPTIONS

Two dimensional, steady state heat transfer

Uniform thermalconductivities
