Discussion Post: Psychology
1) Explain the principles of psychopharmacology as specifically discussed in your course text?
2) Why is it important for those in the field of psychology to be familiar with these principles?
3) Describe some of the different ways that a drug can be either an agonist or an antagonist? Select a mental health issue such as depression, anxiety, or addiction and describe how medication therapy has been proven effective as a form of treatment given the action of agonist or antagonist of the given medication.
4) Provide citation and reference to the material(s) you discuss. Describe what you found interesting regarding this topic, and why.
5) Describe how you will apply that learning in your daily life, including your work life.
