Using your understanding of the development of Western Civilizations between the 16th and the early 19th century (the Reformation to the Atlantic World Revolution), explain the origins of the Enlightenment in terms of social, cultural, economic, and political developments. What was the biggest impact of the Enlightenment and why?
• To answer, write a 3-5 page essay that incorporates your analysis of at least three documents from 3 separate weeks of assigned readings. The essays need to be typed, 12pt font, double spaced, and turned in (hard copy) on the day of the Midterm exam.
