Mark works for Grasslands Surveyors, Inc. as a surveyor. As part of his job, Mark has to drive all over Texas measuring and surveying land for his company. While driving in his company truck to one of his job sites, Mark starts texting his friends while driving. He gets so caught up in the texting, that he accidentally swerves and hits an oncoming vehicle causing damage to both the company truck and the other vehicle. The owners of the other vehicle sue Grasslands Surveyors, Inc. for damages to their vehicle and for their medical expenses as a result of the crash.
