JIT deliveries are contrary to the ideas of EOQ and even POQ to a great extent.
Assume that you have been invited to the local chapter meeting for the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and you are going to participate in a panel discussion. Prepare arguments for both sides of the following discussion points:
1. EOQ or POQ assumptions of instantaneous replenishment or noninstantaneous replenishment are appropriate in any company's environment.
2. JIT is a valid approach despite the absence of these assumptions and can be used by any company. Justify your answers with supporting examples. Comment on the postings and views of at least two peers.
