Explain in detail what you mean by error in operations sales

Discussion

My post:

1. Review the KYLOD Case Study and identify 3 business performance measures that should be displayed daily on the dashboard for the CEO to help him understand how his business is doing.

Performance is measures to demonstrate how the system is expected to impact the business, improvement of the business, and tell the decision-makers and stakeholders what qualified benefits can be received, when does one realized these benefits, and the results.("Performance Measures", 2019) The 3 following business performance measurements that should be displayed on the dashboard for the CEO are as followed:

• Decrease the time to delivery and pick up shipments. Metric the progress of time the shipment has been delivered and picked up. Operations managers should be able to keep time. Baseline should be dependent on location. The target should have 30 to 2-hour difference depending on location. Time frame should be semi-long term, being about a 6-month implementation. All this should still be within regulations of both truck and driver.

• Expected improvement in communication should increase efficiency. Applying all communication readably available through all work hours will prevent any errors with in operations, sales, upper management, etc. This improvement should be applied throughout the whole time of the expected system. Comparing the old system and new system.

• Lastly, I would consider a performance measure of sales. There should be a target sale amount and the company should try and beat this sale every month.

Professor question:

1. The CEO would not be particularly concerned about the time to deliver and pick up shipments. That would fall under the supervision/direction, of the dispatchers, like you noted. I'm not sure what you mean by 6-month implementation, please explain. Again, this is not an aspect of operations that the CIO would be concerned with, except for a monthly or quarterly report on time spent on deliveries. There should be a decrease in time, meaning that the operation is more efficient than it has been in the past.

2. Explain about communications between the old and new system and see improvements. Explain in detail what you mean by errors in operations, sales? Again, communication is not measurable so this would not be something that the CEO would see in his dashboard.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
