Explain the pros and cons of the Hammurabi Code and whether or not aspects of the code apply today. Imagine you are a victim of a break-in at your home. How did the Hammurabi Code set the precedent for you to have rights as a victim?
Recall the three stages of crisis. Then, imagine you are the victim of a crime. Explain how you would feel in each stage and what you think you, as a victim, would need from the criminal justice system to get through this crisis situation. The chart on page 70 of your textbook should prove helpful.
