Problem: Orientation Of Group Members
The student social worker will introduce himself to the prospective group members and the members will be oriented to the groups' purpose and structure. In the lecture the student will: -Explain his role in the group on which the role is facilitation. -Will inform group members that all members will be equal despite age differences -Will explain how the sessions will be contacted, ice-breakers, activities, home works and discussions. Discussions will make members to be closer to each other and this improves the relationships in the group through debates and sharing of ideas. Moreover when home-works are used, group members will get a chance to research and this improves their understanding of the topic. Ice-breakers will make the environment friendly and warm therefore making every participant comfortable. -At the end of every session group members are given a chance to suggest what they want to discuss in the next session and what they want to see changed -During group lectures, group members will be given a chance to ask questions The student will mention that there will be 8 sessions and the topics will be as follows, -Session1: Introductions, Formulation of ground rules and introduction of the topic -Session2: Reflection of the previous session.
