Homework: Biography of a Mathematician
Include the following information about the mathematician you chose for whichever homework option you select:
1) Briefly describe their place of birth, family life, upbringing, education, work experience, geographical location, and the circumstances surrounding their death.
2) Identify specific examples of his or her contributions; not limited to mathematics.
3) Describe their most important mathematical work and results. In your description, address what the person is most remembered for within the mathematical community.
4) Explain how the person evaluated their mathematical findings for accuracy.
5) Describe how other mathematicians and/or scientists responded to the findings of the person during and shortly after their lifetime.
6) Identify future mathematicians and/or scientists that were influenced by this person's work.
Presentation
Create a 15 to 30 slides presentation of a biography for your selected mathematician.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
