Analyze how the Civil Rights Movements, the Vietnam War, and other social turmoil in the 1950s and 1960s affected the ethnic groups that we have discussed. In you're answer consider the effect these groups in turn had on the events being analyzed.

• Save direct quotes for unique statements. Better to express these ideas in your own voice with proper citation. Making it your own shows analytical mastery of the material.

• Try not bury your thesis statements and main ideas. Make them obvious. But do not underline them.

• In your opening paragraph have a sentence that summarizes your main points. This is a separate sentence from your thesis statement.
