Create 5 to 6 slide PowerPoint presentation that can be used in a staff development meeting on presenting different approaches for implementing the stepwise approach for asthma treatment.
Include everything you will say during the presentation in the notes for each slide. The slide itself should only include bullet points, diagrams etc.; not all the information or you will go over on the slide limitation. You do not need to make a recording of the slides.
I included an example of a slide presentation on asthma here for your convenience. Please take a few minutes to review it. You can use any template and design.

Be sure to address the following:
1) Describe long-term control and quick relief treatment options for the asthma patient from your practice as well as the impact these drugs might have on your patient. Discuss ALL the groups of drugs used to treat asthma. Include counselling points, therapeutic effects, and possible adverse reactions for each group of drugs.
2) Explain the stepwise approach to asthma treatment and management for your patient. Discuss the different steps. Review the treatment guidelines for the stepwise approach. Be specific and include lots of details on each step. Then apply it to your patient. You will need to determine which step your patient is currently on and then discuss treatment options to step up or step down. Include follow-up.
3) Explain how stepwise management assists health care providers and patients in gaining and maintaining control of the disease. Be specific. In what way would the steps be helpful to you and to the patient? Include information on an asthma action plan and peak flow.
