My first cultural artifact is the Oath of the Horatii by Jacques-Louis David. The Oath of the Horatii painting was created in 1784 and set during the Roman Republic. The painting depicts three Roman brothers who are getting ready to fight in a battle and give the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The second cultural artifact is Washington Crossing Delaware by Emanuel Leutze.
