Explain how and why Russell modifies his account of denoting phrases (originaly presented in "On denoting") in his paper "Knowledge by Acquaintance and Knowledge by description." Explain the relevance of any of Russells claims in "Knowledge By Acquaintance..." for dealing witht he problem of skepticism. Please don't cut and past something. I'm genuinely having a tough time grasping this well enough - if you could give an answer in lamens terms or one that would be fit for an essay, that'd be great.
