The novel is called "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" by ken kesey you will have to make a thesis about this book and write a research paper on it with one scholarly source that supports the thesis.

Guide to the Research Paper

The first thing you must do to earn a good grade on this paper is to make sure you are using the correct supportive materials. You must have read a novel (a long work of fiction designed to be read, not performed), and you must have located two verifiable, scholarly sources that support your thesis.

The thesis must be one simple statement. The thesis must be based on the situation you observed in the novel. You must have at least two direct quotations from the novel that support the thesis. Each must be introduced and properly cited. Each must have a follow up sentence.

The secondary supportive sources must address the thesis you created. You must have one direct quotation from each source. Each must be introduced and properly cited. Each must have a follow up sentence.

The format must be MLA throughout. It is your obligation to look at a sample or consult a guide. The minimum of two sources must appear on the work cited page in alphabetical order, un-numbered, and with an annotative sentence. (This will be one sentence that tells why you are using this source.) You may use additional sources if you wish. They need not be scholarly, and you are not obligated.

You must have an introduction that states the thesis. Supportive material does NOT belong here. You must have a separate body paragraph for each point you make that supports the thesis. If the paragraph does not relate directly to the thesis, delete it. You must have a conclusion that summarizes the main points. You need not repeat everything. There should be no new information.

Essentially, you are creating your own prompt.
