Guide to the Research Paper
The first thing you must do to earn a good grade on this paper is to make sure you are using the correct supportive materials. You must have read a novel (a long work of fiction designed to be read, not performed), and you must have located two verifiable, scholarly sources that support your thesis.

You must have an introduction that states the thesis. Supportive material does NOT belong here. You must have a separate body paragraph for each point you make that supports the thesis. If the paragraph does not relate directly to the thesis, delete it. You must have a conclusion that summarizes the main points. You need not repeat everything. There should be no new information.
