Historically, the glass ceiling has prevented women from advancing into leadership roles. These invisible barriers are biases and stereotypes that place a limit on the achievement and mobility of women in an organization. The higher up the corporate hierarchy, the thicker and more substantial the glass ceiling.
However, gender homogeneity could reinforce systemic and functional weaknesses in business. For example, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg strongly influenced court decisions because of her perspective as a woman. She brought a female perspective to a case that involved a 13-year-old girl who was strip-searched at school. The male justices recognized that a female perspective was critical because a teenage boy would view this scenario differently.
Explain how a feminine leadership style could be more effective in avoiding crisis and in handling the aftermath of a crisis. Describe how a feminine leadership style could enhance societal performance. Use two to three sources to support your arguments. Follow APA style guidelines to document your sources.
