You are a police officer answering a service call in Santa Monica. A man comes out of an apartment building very upset and tells you that his roommate, Emma, intimidated him and wouldn't let him leave the apartment until he gave her money. When the victim gave his roommate $50 in cash, she shoved him onto the couch and ran out.
Apparently, this argument had started in a car three miles away when Emma had picked up the victim from work. While parked in the car, Emma and the victim got into an argument about money. Emma then started driving and didn't stop the car until arriving back at the apartment building. The victim then tried to run to the apartment in advance to lock Emma out, but was too slow.
