Suppose that economy has been going through long period of demand-side inflation. Government makes a decision to try to stop inflation by means of restrictive monetary and fiscal policies. Must it make required policy changes with as little fanfare as possible, or must it make public them extensively? Will it make any difference? Explain why or why not?
