At He-Ne laser wavelength (L= 632.8 nm) refractive indices of crystal quartz are n o = 1.54264 and n e = 1.55171 computed from its Sellmeier equation. Laser is incident from air onto surface of crystal quartz at the angle of incidence of 45 degrees. For each of given three cases, determine angles of refraction, compute refractive indices, and briefly explain direction of D vectors for o and e waves inside the crystal.
