Discussion Post: Basic Definitions and Concepts
Although we are not in a traditional brick-and-mortar classroom, it's important that we all get to know each other.
What career path do you plan to pursue when you graduate? Which of the concepts (of the definitions listed above) do you think will be most relevant to your future profession?
Problem
I need the response in a minimum of 2 to 3 pages.
a) Explain the difference between stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and racism.
b) Briefly describe a situation that you've encountered in which stereotypes governed an interaction between two or more people (if you've never experienced one, you're welcome to look at the news-please include a link).
c) How did stereotypes affect the situation? How could the situation have turned out differently?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
