It is often easy to recognise the presence of CHD in older children and adults. As in any other form of heart disease a careful history and systematic physical examination unravels many clues and allows identification of the physiologic category in most patients.
The following clinical features indicate a strong possibility of underlying CHD. These features also help in identifying ll1e physiologic category of the CHD.
