Suppose a philosopher comes up to you and asks if you can explain how you know as certain knowledge that the sun will rise tomorrow and other cause and effect relationships in general. She asks what criterion of knowledge you use to say you know that the future will be like the past. How would you answer? Regardless of your answer, please include a response from one of Descartes, Hume or Kant that disagrees with your perspective on knowledge.
