Why did the United States become more involved in Vietnam when many policymakers knew little of the country? In other words, how did the tiny country of Vietnam become the center of the Cold War? Explain at least one modern issue in foreign policy that is similar to the origins of Vietnam (War on Terror, ISIS, Syria, or any other event in the news).
