We looked at several companies and how they manage inventory. There were successes, and there were failures. What we have done is a brief form of benchmarking, the process of looking at a variety of companies and seeing what we can learn from each. More important that the actual processes are the underlying ideas that are driving the processes. What ideas do you see in these companies that you think really drive their inventory management success? Do you know of other companies (those that you work for, those that you interact with) that also have good ideas?
