Principals must request funds for the project using a detailed plan that describes what every dollar will be allocated to and what the benefits will be for the use of those funds.
Explain a proposal for a campus-wide zero-based service project that integrates technology and utilizes free and appropriate external resources, online communities and resources, possible partnerships, and materials from vendors. Be sure to address the following:
- All aspects of the project developed are to be based on zero-budgeting processes,
- which should include all costs,
- possible field trips
- Supplies.
- Justify the proposed expenditures by explaining exactly how campus culture or student learning will be enhanced from these expenditures.
- The proposed expenditures should also be prioritized from most necessary to least necessary in anticipation of possible cuts or a need for cost-saving measures.
- Your presentation of the project proposal should include a brief introduction, plans for the service learning project, an explanation of how the service learning aligns with curricular standards, and a summary.
