Experiencing vertical simple harmonic motion

A penny rides on the top of a piston as it experiences vertical simple harmonic motion having amplitude of 4.0 cm. When the frequency is low, the penny rides up and down without intricacy. When the frequency is steadily raised, there comes a point at which the penny leaves the surface.

i) At what point in the cycle does the penny first drop contact with the piston?

ii) Determine the highest frequency for which the penny just barely remains in place for the complete cycle?
