Background info: In 2018, suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth 10-24 (Wachino et al., 2022). Since 2018 mental health visits have increased significantly. A lot of the services that kids and adolescents came in for were self harm, substance abuse disorder, as well as the pandemic. Families living below the poverty line are suffering a lot due to all their disadvantages and lack of resources. It is very important for children and adolescents to get the help they need so they don't turn to coping with their mental illness by addiction, and other chronic illnesses.
