Overview
This is an individual assignment worth a possible 100 points. It involves researching and writing a paper (approximately 9-10 double-spaced pages) this assignment sheet. The paper should be well written, thoughtful and reflect a blend of marketing perspectives - those of both yours and of others. Due dates vary for this assignment and depend on the question/topic addressed; refer to the course calendar in the syllabus for specific due dates
Questions/topics
Select one of the following five questions/topics as the focus of your paper. Ensure that your paper demonstrates that you have read and considered relevant facts/research on the topic as well as other individuals' perspectives AND your own thoughtful perspective too. Be sure to address all parts of the question/topic you select.
3. Is the customer always right, as Harry Gordon Selfridge asserted several decades ago? Why or why not? If not, is the customer always something else? As a business leader, how do you want employees in your organization to think about customers?

There are no strict guidelines for the length of the paper, but if your paper is concise and well-organized, about 9-10 pages (double-spaced, 12-point type) for the narrative will suffice, plus a few additional pages for a title page, list of references, tables, figures, pictures, exhibits, etc
Grading criteria
Excellent papers will thoroughly address the selected question/topic and will reflect a blend of factual information, rich research, others' perspectives and the student's own thoughtful perspective on the question/topic. Great papers also will be well-written (interesting, concise, clear, organized, free of misspelled words and typographical errors, grammatically correct, properly documented).
