Excellent article choice and great comments on smart goals

Question: Excellent article choice and great comments on SMART goals, which is the method that all organizations should use. What is the difference between SMART goals and other obtainable goals? Do you think that SMART goals are the only type or method that brings success to an organization? As a business owner, my family company has developed thousands and thousands of goals over the 40+ years in business, which has brought about success and stability. Does your organization include employee in the SMART or other goals that are set? What type of goal setting process does your organization use? Remember that setting smaller goals within the "big picture" for the organization is a great way to ensure that goals are measurable, which is one of the hardest elements to establish within SMART goals. Any thoughts?
