Despite the controversial comments made, this is an example of checks and balances.
Former President Trump has every right to block all communication from his Administration regarding the January 6, 2021 insurrection from the January 6th Commission. The former President is immune from investigation, and the January 6th Commission and Democrats only seek to violate the separation of powers by conducting an investigation.
