Problem
Examine women's interpersonal roles within the family as Daughters, Sisters, Mothers, Wives, and Partners. Women's work inside and outside the home in national and global contexts will be investigated.
At the end of this Module, students should be able to articulate how gendered roles impact women throughout their lives, influencing their communication interactions both within and outside of the family unit. Students should also demonstrate their understanding of family roles both by applying theories to their own experiences as daughters, sisters, mothers, wives, and partners-and/or as parents, siblings, children, spouses, and partners of girls/women-in the sphere.
