Examine three 3 differences between dna and rna then

You have added some new staff to your project team. They have very little understanding of your project and you don't have a lot of time to educate them on the project's specifics. Using the tools provided in Online Lecture 1, describe how you plan to get your new staff members up to speed on your project.

Disscussion SCI

Examine three (3) differences between DNA and RNA then explain two (2) main reasons why DNA is the most favorable molecule for genetic material. Next suggest how RNA compares to DNA in regards to genetic material.

Responds

DNA and RNA, while they are similar, in those similarities lie their differences. For example. DNA is a long polymer with a backbone made of Deoxyriboses and phosphate, while RNA has a polymer with a backbone made up of ribose and phosphate. Backbones are similar, both are composed of alternating sugar and phosphate groups & defines the directionality of molecules.

Also, both DNA and RNA have four different nitrogenous bases, with similar nucleotides. The differences between DNA and RNA nitrogenous bases are:

DNA: Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine.

RNA: Adenine, guanine, cytosine and Uracil

While you can see from the information above, both DNA and RNA are structurally similar, there are 3 differences between them, two of which are noted above regarding their different composites of each's backbone and nucleotide make-ups. Unlike DNA, RNA is a 3-dementenial single strand nucleic acid, while DNA is a dual strand.

DNA is considered more favorable for Genetic material than ‘RNA is because of it's double stranded Helix that allows easier pairing. I'd assume that DNA is more favorable than RNA when it comes to genetic material because RNA doesn't offer the same compatibility as DNA, meaning, RNA is "self-complimentary" while DNA has a wider complimentary ability.
