Problems With Plea Bargaining
One of the areas of the criminal justice system that is having major problems involve the use of plea bargains.
While plea bargains do serve to keep the system running efficiently, there are many identified problems with plea bargaining, to include a shortage of public defenders and innocent persons pleading guilty.
Examine the problems associated with plea bargaining, and provide at least two suggestions for improving the plea bargaining process.
