o It has been argued that immigrants are the back bones of America. Examine the impact (both positive and negative) of Germans, Irish, Italians, and Jews on America.
o Examine the legacy that immigrants have left in cities throughout America. In what ways can we still the Irish and Italian roots in coastal cities, German roots in Midwestern cities, and Scandinavian roots in the northern Midwest. What practices, traditions/holidays that are symbolic of their influence.
