Part 2: "Falls are the most common cause of injury, disability, and death among elders, both at home and in institutions, and the numbers drastically increase with advanced age" (Ferrini & Ferrini, 2013, p. 176). Furthermore, Ferrini and Ferrini (2013) found that "motor vehicle accidents are the second leading cause of accidental death among elders aged 65 and over" (p. 181).

• Examine the incidence of falls and motor vehicle accidents in the elderly community and describe the consequences of them.

• Identify opportunities to prevent falls and motor vehicle accidents within this community.
