Globalization has been occurring at a fast rate in recent years, and traditional societies are often shaken by change, as less expensive goods come in from more technological advanced countries. Technology has played a dominant role in shaping our modern world. In conflict with the benefits of technology, major concerns exist in terms of global warming and the effects of pollution.
