Part 1

Butt and ur Redman (2010) conducted a study to examine student satisfaction in higher education. The study used an adapted questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale to measure the student responses. The sample size was made up of 350 students from various institutions.

Butt and ur Redman (2010) discuss how they conducted the analysis, utilizing regression and Independent Same T Test were performed, using SPSS. The T-Test was implemented to determine the satisfaction between male and female students. Butt and ur Redman were able to distinguish a difference between the groups with p<.05. Females responded with a mean of 2.1659 and males with a mean of 1.7397. This demonstrates that females are less satisfied with education compared to the male students. The study represents fair predictions of the environment, as in Pakistan females have fewer academic opportunities than males.

Huck (2012) describes a t-test as one of the most popular test procedures that are utilized to analyze data. Regarding this study, the use of the T-Test was able to complement the study as the outcome is demonstrated that all qualities examined significance regarding student satisfaction but varies with strength. The model is appropriate for the data as there is a strong positive correlation between dependent variables and predictors (Butt &ur Redman, 2010).

To strengthen the test, Butt and ur Redman (2010) could have included degrees of freedom. Huck (2012) notes that df values are useful because they inform us how much data each t was based on, demonstrating that there is significant difference.

Part 2

The author's analysis examined the student level of satisfaction in higher education regarding the teacher's expertise in courses offered, learning environment, and classroom facilitates. The study also indicated four hypotheses so the researcher can conceptualize a broader framework of the study. The hypotheses included teachers expertise is positively related to student's satisfaction, courses offered which are positively related to students satisfaction, learning environment is positively related to student's satisfaction, and lastly, classroom faculties is positively related to student's satisfaction.

The T-Tests complements the study because the researchers analyzed and compared the level of satisfaction between genders in higher education. The researcher wanted to find out if there is a significant difference or, indeed, a practical difference in results. The data reveals that there is a significant difference in the level of satisfaction with males and females, indicating that female students are less satisfied with their education as compared to the males in the classroom setting. However, based on the information from the study, there are fewer opportunities for female students in learning environments. To strengthen the t-tests a multiple of t-tests could have been established using ANOVA, to compare two or more means which would allow the researcher to establish a cause and effect of the study.
