Module Assignment: UNDERSTANDING THE CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM
There are no background materials for this module. Instead, students must undertake their own literature searches to identify scholarly materials relevant to their integrative projects (see Case and SLP assignments for details).
Modular Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, the student will be able to satisfy the following outcomes:
• Case
o Apply a global ecological model/framework to the understanding of the health problem addressed by the student's integrative project.
o Apply the scholarly literature to the understanding of contextual factors influencing the health problem addressed by the student's integrative project.
• SLP
o Continue constructing an annotated bibliography in APA format.
• Discussion
o Discuss how the scholarly literature has broadened the student's understanding of the contextual factors relevant to the health problem addressed by his or her integrative project.
Module Overview
In this module, students will examine and reflect upon the sociocultural, geopolitical, and environmental contexts that contribute to the problem each has chosen to study/address. The specific deliverable for this module's case assignment will be an essay that lays the foundation for the report, plan, etc., to be outlined, drafted, and finalized in forthcoming modules.
Module 1 Case
Be sure to read the directions clearly - your introduction should address the topic of this paper. and you need headings as stated in the writing directions. You also need a concluding paragraph.
Module SLP: UNDERSTANDING THE CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM
Continue to assemble your annotated bibliography, adding and annotating a minimum of 5-8 additional sources (at least 5 of which must be peer-reviewed) to those previously incorporated in Module 1. These may include but should not be limited to resources identified for your Module 1 and 2 Case assignments. Make sure to include at least one source that addresses how diverse perspectives or cultural differences affect the problem you are seeking to further understand. Highlight new sources that you added for this module.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
