This assignment calls for looking into the benefits and detriments of high school tournaments and all-star games.
-Some of the items you may want to consider as you gather information about the benefits and detriments of these tournaments are: How many athletes actually benefit? How much class time is missed? Who absorbs the travel and other expenses to participate? Are high school teams limited to the number of out-of-state games and events in which they can participate? Who decides whether or not to participate in a tournament--principal, superintendent, school board, athletic director, coach?
