Problem: Your Term Paper is an opportunity to examine existing criminal justice policy, and develop your own. Your paper will consider policing, corrections, and courts and provide a guide for improved practice, making clear recommendations to those making decisions on how their employees (police, US Marshals, corrections supervisors, etc.) should act. There are two primary learning outcomes of this assignment. That you demonstrate an ability to consider- thoughtfully and critically- issues in criminal justice institutions, and demonstrate an ability to re-imagine and reinvent policies to address those issues. Your paper will address FOUR areas at a minimum: your philosophy regarding criminal justice, policing, courts, and corrections.
