Leadership theories abound. The "great man" theory says leaders are born, not made. Participative theories state that leaders encourage participation and contribution from stakeholders. Leadership style is the manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people. The transformational or participative style creates employees accepting the company goals and objectives. This style is a sign of strength not weakness.
